1:1 Redundancy capability added for SnIP equipped modems in firmware 0.73 (August 2008)
The M500 series modems have always had the ability to operate in 1:1 redundancy mode. But the feature was disabled with the SnIP Ethernet interface installed, even if not enabled, because it pre-empted the redundancy communications channel. The new version 0.73 firmware for the modem moves redundancy communications to the standard remote control port when a SnIP is installed. See the M500-Downloads page for download of the any firmware version 0.73 with companion version 30 or 31 FEC firmware or greater. Note: Currently at version 0.77.
