What's New

The latest PSM-500 and PSM-4900 firmware update programs are available, fully Windows based to make updating modem firmware easier. Go to Downloads to get either of these new programs.

PSM-500:

A new firmware Version 0.73 for the PSM-500 series as of Aug. 19, 2008 at M500 Downloads-
This version adds significant new capabilities to previous versions including:

	Added support for redundancy with SnIP interfaces installed. New FEC version 02 and 04 -31 firmware resolves issue with TPC-4k in CT mode rate 3/4 -------------- From Version 0.72 --------------
	Support for the new 8QAM modulation for M511 and M523 Feature sets - Requires TPC option. -------------- From Version 0.63 --------------
	Support for the new S-Tec FEC in production now.
	More support and modes for the TPC-4k Turbo Codes FEC.
	42 New TPC FEC modes, labeled "Advanced". These proprietary Datum Systems TPC modes are optimized for the best performance possible. They include both TPC-4k and TPC-16k modes, including the ability of the TPC-16k to use all of the 4k modes for compatibility.
	Several new features for modem output control.
	Corrected some problems with far end modem control via the ESC and MCC channels.

PSM-4900:

A new firmware Version 1.03 for the PSM-4900 series at M5 Downloads

The new version now recognizes the SnIP properly when it is installed in the PSM-4900 series modems. Previously firmware 0.90 corrected a potential acquisition problem in TPC "CT" Compatibility mode . Version 0.88 corrects an AUPC problem with version 0.84. Version 0.84 corrects a minor problem with TPC at rate 7/8 and includes the 0.81 firmware update which provides several major enhancements to the Turbo Product Codes (TPC) Rate 3/4 and 7/8 performance and introduces a new "Auto" clock mode for the modulator clock source.
