This page contains links to current "Service Bulletins" and "Downloads" of new firmware coding to provide our modems with enhanced up to date capabilities, in addition to correction of any issues or problems discovered. There is also an extensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) with answers to resolve many customer questions encountered.
The latest PSM-500 firmware update programs are available, fully Windows based to make updating modem firmware easier. Go to Downloads to get either of these new programs.
PSM-500, PSM-500L, PSM-500LT:
A new firmware Version 1.05 for the PSM-500 series at M500 Downloads.
This version adds significant new capabilities to previous versions including:
- Added features for the new LDPC-16k FEC versions.
- Added support for first LDPC-2k FEC versions which can load into existing FEC cards.
- A complete new improved implementation of 8QAM offering better performance.

- New FEC version 01 through 04 -33 firmware supports basic LDPC functioning.
- Added modem software to support changing SnIP between bridge and router from front panel.

- 42 New TPC FEC modes, labeled "Advanced". These proprietary Datum Systems TPC modes are optimized for the best performance possible. They include both TPC-4k and TPC-16k modes, including the ability of the TPC-16k to use all of the 4k modes for compatibility.
- Several new features for modem output control.
- Corrected some problems with far end modem control via the ESC and MCC channels.
